Wheeled Armoured Personnel Carriers for ACR

The Czech military is going to replace its outdated wheeled armoured personnel carriers and tracked armoured infantry fighting vehicles with a new set of wheeled armoured vehicles in several variants. Attached, you can find the announcement for their procurement.

Expressions of Interest were accepted till 27 May 2005, 12:00 hours Central European Time.

Four companies have advanced to the second stage of the tender.

Two companies to present final offer by 14 November 2005.

Czechs to get Austrian Steyr's Vehicles.

On 9 June 2006, Minister of Defence of the CR Karel Kühnl signed agreement with the Steyr Company, Austria, on supply of first 199 PANDUR wheeled armoured personnel vehicles.
