NATO Operation in Afghanistan
The Czech Republic operates its own Provincial Reconstruction Team in Logar
The Czech authorities respond to calls of allies for reinforcement of allied military presence in Afghanistan in support of success of ISAF operation in suppressing Taliban activities and in support of the Afghan Government.
The flight with the first part of the 1st ACR Contingent PRT Logar from the Prerov-Bochor airport in the Czech Republic to Afghan Capital Kabul on the 11th February 2008 launched the new chapter of Czech participation in ISAF operation in ensuring both security and reconstruction efforts in favour of Afghan people. The Contingent reached its operational size by the 16th March 2008.

Size of the 1st ACR Contingent PRT Logar:
- military part up to 200 personnel, and
- civilian part up to 10 personnel.
Leader of the civilian part:
Václav Pecha
The Contingent is located at the US Forward Operating Base Shank (FOB Shank).
