Invitation to NATO Days - Days of Czech Air Force held in Ostrava

Annual presentation of Czech Air Force and Land Forces equipment starts Friday 20 September 2013 with landing of An-124 Ruslan at the Ostrava Leos Janacek Airport which comes directly from Afghanistan to unload equipment of Czech troops within downsizing their presence in ISAF operation.

"The best help-hand you find at the end of your arm" saying, joined with effort to save time and money, led specialists of the 73rd Tank Battalion to learn new procedures and be able to disassemble, service, repair and maintain "the insides" of tanks at their base at Praslavice avoiding previous practice to send them to the Military Repair Enterprise at Senov u Novy Jicin.

The 4th Nation-wide Final of the Versatility of Olympic Winners Badge sporting event was held at the Strahov Stadium in Prague on 6 and 7 September 2013. This annual project of Czech Olympic winners in decathlon Robert Zmelik and Roman Sebrle is aimed at support of sporting of the youth and is backed by the Czech military.
Gripens guard Czech air space 365/24 for eight years

On the occasion of finalising talks between Czech and Swedish parties on prolongation of a lease agreement of SAAB 39 Gripen supersonic aircraft, Czech PM Jiri Rusnok visited 21st Tactical Air Force Base at Caslav to get more information on operation of these aircraft and conditions of their pilots who guard Czech air space daily for eight years.
RAMSTEIN ROVER 2013 - A Key Exercise Series Continues

From 2 to 20 September 2013 a new edition of NATO’s Ramstein Rover (RARO) exercise series for Forward Air Controllers (FACs) will take place in the Czech Republic, where it had already been conducted last year.
