Czechs and Americans train for attack response in Bagram

Training scenario: A convoy of Czech and American soldiers based in Bagram (Afghanistan) sets out on a routine patrol. A bomb explodes under a vehicle. The convoy stops and the patrolmen ascertain the casualties and damage. They provide first aid, initiate evacuation procedures, and then carry on with their mission.
New recruitment drive and equipment modernisation imminent

The recent changes in legislation and the increase in funding for the Czech Armed Forces will boost the recruitment of soldiers to around two thousand for this year. The changes will also set in motion the procurement process of replacing outmoded equipment with new, consequently creating a stronger and more capable Active Reserve force.
Brdy Military Region becomes Protected Landscape Area

V4 countries progress in defence cooperation

The extraordinary session of the Ministers of Defence of the Visegrad Four (V4) countries, held in Prague on 17th December, confirmed the willingness of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia to play an important role in the protection of the Schengen Area and the management of the migration crisis.
