People pay homage to the last WWII paratrooper

Representatives from the Office of the Czech President, the Czech Government and Parliament, the Slovak and Czech Ministries of Defence, as well as Cardinal Dominik Duka, soldiers, and mourners gathered at the Strasnice Ceremonial Hall on 14th August to pay tribute to Lieutenant General Jaroslav Klemes who died at the age 95.

NATO member countries rehearsing airspace protection over Europe

Ground based air defence units from ten NATO countries are currently taking part in exercises in various locations throughout the Czech Republic, Lithuania and Romania. The objective, to improve cooperation and interoperability in protecting airspace.

Caslav's light combat aircraft pilots v. helicopter crews

Personnel from the Caslav Tactical Air Force Base returned on Monday from a two-week Helicopter Tactical Instructor Course (HTIC) held in Arvidsjaur, Sweden. The aim of the course was to improve the tactical skills of pilots in air-to-air combat between aircraft and helicopters.
